Researching the hosts for my portfolio and blog is critical in ensuring that my online presence is reliable and secure. I continued my journey in this project and reached the stage of choosing a web host; I needed clarification about whether to use my previous hosting on the HostGator website or look for another hosting. I decided to do a quick search to see if I could find a better option, such as SiteGround and Bluehost. After careful consideration, I've chosen HostGator as the hosting provider for my portfolio and blog based on several key factors. One of the primary factors that influenced my decision was HostGator's pricing. As a student with a limited budget, cost-effectiveness is crucial. Other platforms are slightly more expensive, especially when considering renewal rates. HostGator offers the best price among all competitors, ensuring value for money without compromising quality.

Furthermore, HostGator is renowned for its reliability and uptime performance. Downtime can be detrimental to any website, causing inconvenience to visitors and potentially harming the reputation. As a platform user for over two years, I had a wonderful experience and did not encounter malfunctions on my sites. This is what gives me confidence and no fear of these problems. Regarding customer support and user-friendliness, HostGator competes favourably with the other hosting providers. I never contacted support and didn't get an immediate response; they even offered help to upload files to the c panel to make the technical side much more accessible for their clients. HostGator provides you with a user-friendly interface, and it's straightforward to use; my experience with other hosting providers wasn't as good as HostGator's, as some platforms are complex and challenging to use for beginners. In conclusion, after conducting thorough research and comparing various hosting providers, HostGator is the ideal host for my portfolio. It's a combination of affordability, reliability and user-friendliness I am poised to establish a robust online presence and showcase my work effectively to the world
